The microcord isn't supposed to be their summer weight, so I wouldn't expect them to be the very most breathable fabric around. I have several pairs of the lightweight ones and I LOVE the regular Kerrits tights - they are about as breathable as any type I've found in our intense summer humidity. I haven't had a problem with the waistband rolling. I'm short, and the regular length is too long for me, but I just fold them up. They also come in talls.
