I will wear stretch jeans in the summer or fall if I'm only going to ride for maybe an hour or so...and if all my riding tights are dirty! They are WAY too hot to ride in during the summer though. I can't stand to ride for very long when it's REALLY hot, like today. When it's this hot, I sometimes ride in shorts or in the cheap Walmart stretch pants that are made out of t-shirt type material - I think they are about $12. They don't have any knee patches of course, but I use the sheepskin seat belt covers over my stirrup leathers, so it doesn't really matter for shorter rides. Seriously, the real sheepskin saddle covers and stirrup covers are wonderful for riding in the summer, when it's really sticky. Karen Thomas, NC
