It really was a pleasant diversion from the loss of Mac, and from the heat, just to sit back and watch someone I fully trust handle one of my horses for me. We're really proud of Maja, and all the mares, and I'm darned lucky to have a friend like Shirley so close by. She knew Mac well enough to be affected by his loss, but she still came by to give us a much-needed diversion. That's a good friend. Karen Thomas, NC
