I don't think you're too off the mark. Parelli said along the lines of 80% of people get out of horses within the first year, and 80% (?) of those that stay in horses a year get out within the first 5 years. So I think Nancy's right--it's not just Icelandics. There are unscrupulous breeders in every breed. And we are the rarey sort of individual then! :) Robyn S
