Interesting dialogue. I think many of us are looking for step-by-step instructions for horse training, and the Unity book does not do that. Instead it attempts to tell us how to receive communication from our horses. That's a pretty hard thing to teach, but if we were able to learn it, we'd be a lot better horse trainers. They're too unique for step-by-step trasining methods. Mark Rashid also teaches a "listen to your incividual horse" approach I think.
In fact, you have to wonder if receiving communication isn't the most important social skill we could learn. With this household full of non-verbal people, we need to be very tuned to communication that it not spoken. Nancy
