Thanks, but I give all the credit to her - well, and I also thank Anneliese for breeding such sane, smart, and self-confident horses. I wonder if she'd made it had she not had that first two years of good nutrition on the lush pastures at Unicorn Valley, and if she hadn't had Anneliese's love from the time she was born. She's a strong, strong mare. She always reminded me of Scarlett O'Hara from the time she stepped off the trailer here. I could just imagine her saying, "With God as my witness, I'll never be hungry again!" (Fist raised to the sky in defiance of course.) I had imagined her being distrustful, wary, skiddish...but no, she was more like, "The princess has returned from exile. Now... where are my servants?" She's gentle and sweet, but nobody's doormat - you might call her a "Steel Magnolia." I love her spunk! Maybe we should call her Scarlett.
