Same old same old what? I happen to totally agree with that. Some
horses become pushy for attention and food if they are treated or
handled improperly....some people seem to treat a foal like a puppy,
they are not dogs, but certainly can become almost dog like if
treated like one.
We handle our foals, we do a modified imprint after foaling on the
next day, I do not like the agressiveness of Dr. Millers technique,
but we do not handle them a lot...we allow them to explore and come
to us.....we want them to be curious, learn to trust us on their own,
which they do. We also halter train them, and teach them to lead and
load, as we need to be able to move our horses around with ease, and
if we need to trailer them for vet care.
