Well well. There's nothing like a ride on your young horse to point out all the ENORMOUS gaps in his training!! I had a nice ride on Santana, altho he does better bridleless w/ a stick--the neck ring was hard to use w/ his long neck. I also used his bit (a Monte Foreman pelham on the snaffle setting) which he mouthed for about 5 min and then was content. It just does better than the Dr. Cooks. Shadow on the other hand, has lost his steering, or maybe he never really had it to begin with. I was pretty frustrated! So we are backing off and working on ground driving again. It was disappointing, but we will work thru it. There's a great trainer locally, Raian Kaiser, who does TTEAM and her own offshoot of TTEAM, and I may start working w/ her again. Don't want to make mistakes. I also took pix of my mounting strap, I'll post those later on Icehorse picture board. Robyn S
