We are so sick and tired of commuting those 420 miles between Evanston and the farm in KY. After Olaf retired we first spent time in Estonia, getting that house ready to live in. And then, it took me forever to find an architect. At this moment, the drywall guys are about to finish up, after that the painters and then the floors and then we are just about ready to move in. So now it is time to try and sell the house in Evanston. It's great location if you like a truly cosmopolitan area with winters. And our house is in a great location too on a very quiet street. Five minutes walk to either the Elevated into Chicago and the train going into Chicago. The lake is a twelve minute walk. The very popular Catholic School St. Athanasius is a 2-3 minute walk. Northwestern University Campus is roughly ten minutes walk. The neighborhood is close-knit and everyone is very supportive of each-other. Evanston itself is a lovely place to live if you like a town with an urban environment. The town is full of old tall trees and the lots are fairly good size. So do you want to move to Evanston yet? We hate to leave in a way but the farm with its 300+ acres, milder climate and the horses, of course, is an even bigger draw. Olaf keeps saying that if he wins the lottery we'll buy a no-maintenance condo here. And when the new house in KY is finished, the old one will be renovated and will be available to visitors. So you can come and experience our notorious driveway. By the way: it has improved. The dozer operator has been in and out during these past months and every time he comes or goes out, he straightens to road a little more. Anneliese
