Oh wow - a very well-balanced mare for being so small. Hunter is 14.3, just barely over pony size and also the reason I bought an Icelandic, along with their combination of intermediate gait plus trot.
When I first decided I really wasn't too old to ride, I started riding my 14.1 driving pony. I always liked 16 h horses and never used a mounting block so I was quite surprised one day when I'd been out riding for awhile and got off to open a gait and had trouble re-mounting. I developed an instant affection for shorter horses. Nancy
