Take a gun. My husband bought me a .38 revolver with NO hammer, so it will not discharge accidentally if I fall off the horse or drop it or whatever. The automatic I had before, I just couldn't get the slide back, so now the revolver is my riding gun. It has 5 shots and hubby put snake shot in the first chamber in case I get aggressive dogs after me - I don't want to kill them, just scare them off.
