This thing is a sea kayak - it's about 7 ft long and 2 ft wide, with very pointy ends and a flat bottom. I must have turned over about 20 times, but I got it in the end and it was great to play in the surf with it. Speaking of which, I actually managed to potter down to the beach with old Kalsi last week. He thoroughly enjoyed himself, and we both had to exercise great self control to stay in walk. I'm going to have to get back shoes put on him though, he's really uncomfortable without them (we're riding quite a bit on tarmac roads as the nicer rides are all too long for his state of fitness), and any boots seem to rub him.
