Nancy, I would encourage you to look at the NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped) website www.narha.org . There is also a Yahoo group called Theraputic Riding. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/therapeuticriding The moderator is Nora Fischbach, Executive Director Strides Therapeutic Riding Centers, Inc.www.strides.org . The list is a terrific resource for for anyone riding with and/or teaching riding to people with disabilities. There are many Theraputic Riding Centers that participate as well as riders with disabilities. Ideas and solutions are shared and a lot of information is in the files section for the yahoo group.
