I wanted a particular bit for Tosca, a traditional sweet iron snaffle with a copper link in the center in a 4 1/2" size. I found one in England and one at Dunne and Krumm. I'm not sure she'd have cared if I put a piece of cotton rope in her mouth, but I love the bit.
For Yrsa, I'm using a little D-ring snaffle someone gave me 40 years ago. It is a gorgeous bit, wonderfully made and quite small. The neighbor who gave it to me had used it at the track. If I start thinking about it, I can get real sad thinking how young a TB would have to have been to have this 4 1/2 or maybe smaller bit fit. Nancy
