There's another difference - a Kimberwicke does have a VERY short shank, unless you have one with the d-rings, without the rein slots...and even then, it's still a curb, since it has a short PURCHASE... It's a subtle difference, but we need to remember that a purchase also has an effect, even a short one. Karen Thomas, NC
