I will say this tho, of all the myths and lore and stupid legend stuff
people toss out all the time bout icelandics, not one person has ever
said anything about the only REAL huge difference i see in icelandics
compared to other breeds--- in my walking horses they were WAY
shorter at age 1 year than age 5. And most of them grew til age 5-7.
But with Nasi he was 12.2 hands at 1 year. Cherie says Roka is too.
Then after that nasi's growth sorta slowed to a halt. So its like
they physically grow as tall as they are gonna get fairly early, or at
least like 95% of their entire height by age one year. My walking
horses didnt do that! stonewall grew two hands, 8 inches, at the
withers from age 15 months to age 6. no way is nasi gonna be two
hands taller than 12.2 by age 7. He is age 3 and I really doubt he is
gonna grow much taller at all.

Are there any studies or expert articles about icelandics growth
rates? I bet they peak out early in life height wise and then bulk
out as they age. Whereas my walking horses seem to grow taller and
taller til age 5-7, and then once they got their full height started
bulking up.

But when nasi was 12.2 at age 1 I thought my gosh he's gonna be a tall
one! but then age 2-3 I bet he hasn'rt grown more than 2 inches at
most. I will measure.
