I went to our local lake/resevoir today.  It is Lake
Lahonton here in Fallon, NV.  The lake is fed by the
Carson River and Truckee River and is dependant on the
snowpack in the Sierras.  This is nearing the end of
irrigation season, so the lake is low.  Last year, at
the beginning of irrigation season after a really wet
winter, there was NO BEACH whatsoever!  Here are the

Hard to imagine a lake like this out in the middle of
the desert!  It is a State Park, and we are allowed to
take horses.
