stjarni has a ginormous, coarse head (as big as my torso and requiring an oversize throatlatch, which is why we don't use a throatlatch). here is a picture of us demonstrating thus: http://www.andor.org/lj/stj-2-1.jpg (the day he arrived! almost exactly one year ago!! :) and here is a picture with the green-lined bridle in profile: http://www.andor.org/lj/sensation/canter-sleep.jpg and one from the front: http://www.andor.org/lj/2ph/sj3.jpg so as you can see his forelock usually covers most of the browband anyway; the question is partly "does he look better with a caveson?" and partly "is green his color?" :) personally i like the caveson (i think it sets off the lower part of his face markings) but i like the idea of using our prize. thanks again, --vicka
