Last week I received my new "All in one Bridle" made by Crit Taylor,
and it's better than I could have imagined. I've used bitless bridles
in the past, the "Moss Rock Freedom Bridle" the Parelli hackamore
thingy.

But by far this is my favorite. I searched the archives and read all
the reviews. The price put me off for awhile but I liked the design.
I really like Lindells but Safi didn't need the "bite" of a rope nose
band so this was the perfect option for us.

The quality of the leather and the workmanship is exquisite. I sent
Crit Safi's measurments and he decided he'd fit into this standard
Icelandic size. It's a beautiful fit!

Safi's been off for almost a month (recouping from a bout of laminitis)
and on a strict diet (no grazing). I was worried that I'd have trouble
keeping his head up once we started riding again. We've had two short
but wonderful rides using it as a sidepull. Rode out in the tall
grassy pasture and was amazed at how responsive he is. I'm using the
same ques I'd use if he were in a bit. Direct reining, closing my hands
and it seems to work.

Wanted to add this review to assists other folks searching the archives
for alternatives to bits.

Another great feature, I can add a bit to it if I like. Has anyone
ever used this type of bit hanger?

I thought I may take the brow band off the bridle and use it to
stablize the bit hanger. But for now we're very happy riding bitless
and bareback.
