so when icelandic horses bolt the big problem is probably coming up on
rocky area or something. A man told me a horror story the other day,
of being on a horse that bolted and fell through the middle of one of
those old country bridges that are basically two wide planks across a
creek. The horse slammed on the brakes and the man went over his head
and through the space in the bridge planks and then the horse went in,
and the horse got stuck, frantic paddling hooves right over the mans
head and just as he cleared the horse the horse fell all the way in
beside him in the swift flowing creek. It was a miracle they were
both unharmed.
