What fun! There's a recently retired school teacher here in Oregon who went with her husband to the auction. He surprised her with the purchase of a pony so young they had to wait to have him shipped. She would read Misty of Chincoteague to her students then bring her pony to school for a visit. They sought the help of an excellent local trainer and she was helping them to do ground work in preparation for riding and driving him. They bought a cart and harness from me and I got to see the husband work with the pony on the ground and the trainer ride him briefly. Sadly, not long after they bought the cart, the husband was killed in an accident at home and the trainer left the area. I wonder sometimes about Judy. and her nice pony.
