I was a breeder for a while, and I haven't yet said with absolute certainty that I'll never breed again. (I still have two mares due to foal in April.) But, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I've just "bought 'em as I've seen them", looking for good horses, and amazingly, I've gotten a mix of colors - not intentionally, but it just happened. I've said before that I think the best way to "collect" colors is to buy good horses, with a blind eye to the superficial traits like color, mane, pretty heads, etc. In a breed with many colors, I think you'll find that good horses come in all colors...and that there are lesser quality horses in the same mix of colors. :) Karen Thomas, NC
