Ride with your fingers under the front of the saddle
(between the saddle and the horse's skin / coat),
where the saddle contacts the horse (not the gullet
area).

If your saddle fits in the front, you should have no
problem keeping your fingers in there while riding for
a long time, on the straight, as well as turns.

Sometimes you can ride straight with your fingers in
there, but not be able to ride turns with your fingers
in there because the saddle does not allow for the
movement.

Same goes for the back of the saddle.

Try it.
