isnt it amazing what they can do at liberty and then act like a scaredy cat under saddle :) When jaspar was green he showed a hesitance to go down little steep drop offs, like to cross a small drainage ditch etc. Then one day he got loose and I went chasing him and he barrelled cheerfully over the brink of a sheer drop off, skidded to the bottom and happily lunged back out. I had no mercy on him from then on and thats when i found I had apparently given him the idea I didnt want him to go down these drop offs. When I got over it I found he very willingly will go down and up any steep sinkhole, ravine, etc. :) Janice
