My husband has always wanted an African Grey. Considering that we're 65, I guess I'd better get him one pretty soon and then write a trust for its care.
This sounds SO mean, but we have such fun with our autistic son's ability to "parrot" some words. He has only a handful of useful language, but he uses those efficiently. Yesterday he was in a room a little away from where we were (uses a wheelchair, so he was stuck there). He was calling out hello, but with lots of meaning, Hel Lo oh. Nancy
