Another small triumph for Tosca. When I went up to feed Hunter last night, Bev was just returning Tosca to her pen. She'd ridden her in the riding ring, opened and closed the gait off her back, ridden her around some little trails they've made through the berries on the farm, then took her out by herself on a short section of trail. This was only Tosca's second trip off the place and when Gayle and I rode out in the morning we discovered that the huge wind storm we had the other day had blown several small trees across the trail, requiring a little four wheeling. Bev reports that Tosca scrambled up the steep bank through the wet leaves and brush like she'd been doing it all along. Even Gayle's steady Prizey wasn't trhilled with climbing the bank.
