I wish I was exagerating about our weather here in Santa Ynez, Calif. For the past 2 days it has been over 90 during the day & so dry I pratically need Bounce sheets for all the static in my hair. The night temps are into the 40's. Later this week it's supposed to be in the low 70's..still very warm for Icelandics in late November. I'm going to have to trace clip for the third time since late Sept.. There are still too many flies to do a complete body clip out here. Fortunately we have misters over the run-in stalls during the day which all of my horses seem to enjoy.
I'm giving ABC Pro-Bi daily to keep the intestinal flora balanced & also doing Jin Shin Jyutsu acupressure daily for all my horses. Many of my friends who don't believe in Holistic horse care have had colics on & off for the past few weeks. All our Vets have bee very busy with farm colic calls I hear. We are all praying for some rain & cooler weather!!!! Kaaren
