We will be having 3 of our Icelandics in our little tiny Christmas
parade in Pahoa. It will be on Sat. Dec 8th.....My trausti will be
in it, and Fylla, and my mare Skyfaxa....I am not riding, as it will
be my horses first parade, so I will pony Skyfaxa off our Kawasaki
mule, which will have kids in the back throwing candy, and my friend
will ride Trausti for me. We think he will be just fine, but I am a
timid rider untill I have a good riding relationship with my horse.
I used to take Dreki for the parades. He was in the Rose parade and
other big things like Equitana, so he just did everything and I
looked good on him. We will put packs on Skyfaxa with presents
sticking out of them...mabye some fresh flowers in their mane, very
very low key and Fun.

We will tolt by the announcer booth, the crowd just loves that...they
always shout 'Hana ho' Which means repeat or again....so we turn
around and do it for the crowd again...its fun. Our ponies get much
more attention than the regular horses. It reminds me of watching
the wagon pulling at the fairs where the team of minis always wins
over the big rig with the Clydesdales pulling a huge wagon.....I
think of all the time and work and expense the big teams have to do,
and those cute little minis always win more applause.
