My Tivar has a little mean streak, I guess you would say he is
"outspoken" haha. But he has never tried to seriously launch me. I
have seen he has a devious side, he does a thing where if I wont let
him pass everyone and be the first horse he will knock my knees into a
tree and just act so innocent about it. its pretty funny actually.
Its like he's passive aggressive. But at least he's not just
aggressive! or mean. it is more like he is communicating how
aggravated he feels. he is very very smart and calculating I think,
and with me he has figured out I am a goodhearted person who will not
mistreat him so he does not really go for the jugular. but he lets me
know when he is displeased. He is almost scarey smart tho. Lately he
has dug a hole so deep in front of the gate where he paws when I am
pouring feed. I always fill it in but i told my husband we have to
take permanent measures and fill it in with the tractor and put some
rubber matting there so he cant paw it out. So I left the hole and it
got so deep he was standing there with his head way lower than me, his
face at about my chest level, so for fun I would reach and tweak his
poll, then the other day I opened the gate and walked in and was
standing in the hole waiting for my husband and I swear to gosh Tivar
walked over and stood there, towering over me, then bent and nipped my
hair on the top of my head and strode off looking all satisfied. I
swear he is THAT smart.
