good idea...just a word of warning. please careful using this if it's attached to a frost free water hydrant. remember in order to prevent your frost free water hydrant from freezing, they water must be compelety drained back down. if you have a hose attached to the frost free water hydrant..it will NOT drain and you will have a frozen hydrant. and it's expensive if you have to replace that ...in the middle of the winter! yikes..i know, when i had my boarding facility..one of my boarders did this to my hydrant. we were without water in the barn for weeks, had to haul buckets down (up the hill) from the house...for 21 horses! i was so mad at the boarder. raven
