Does anyone know about side saddles? Stephanie, who has cerebral palsy,
has adductors that are so tight that she has had to have one hip surgically
re-structured. She is so tight that there is no way she can put one leg on
each side of a horse the way we would expect a typical rider to.

Sometimes at the therapeutic riding program where she used to ride, they
would put kids on a horse so that they were seated with both legs on one
side. Do you suppose a side saddle would be safe for a disabled rider?
