With Icelandics, it is the tight nosebands, with other
gaited horses it is long shanks on the bit.  What is
comes down to is shortcuts to get the horse in gait
right away.  The basics are neglected in the desire to
get gait.  And the horse suffers and then the novice
gaited horse owner suffers and makes the horse suffer
even more.
