By the way, we don't have a lot of snakes here. Mostly black snakes (which
are harmless) and garter snakes. With the exploding deer population,
poisonous snakes have virtually disappeared. It is a little know fact that
deer will murder snakes with their front hooves. In the thirty years we have
had this place I have seen one rattle snake and we ate that one. You can
grill it, it's delicious. Old timers told us that there were rattle snakes
here but I think they are all gone now.
