There are two beaches within about 6 miles from here in Sonoma County CA. Today we went to Salmon Creek Beach which is very long maybe 3 miles. It takes about 1/2 hour to get from the parking lot to the beach through deep sand part of the way. Once you are on the beach it is great. There was not a breath of wind today which is unusual and it was glorious. We rode for about 1 1/2 hours. Generally I don't go there because the deep sand is hard on the horses, today was special. The other beach, Doran is short, maybe a mile but you park and you are there. Ann
