I got the DVD today and I just watched it. If you think dressage has to be stiff, strong-armed and boring, you might want to spring for this DVD. It's not instructional so much as inspirational. I don't think there's a noseband used in the video, and Karen Rolfe does much of the demonstration riding, either bareback or in her treeless dressage saddle... and much either with neither a neck rein, rope halter, or totally bridleless. And, just for Janice, there's a snip where she takes one of the horses into a lake a little swim. One of the horses in the video is a 14-year-old Lippazaner gelding that was given to her at age 11 as a problem horse.
