I took Andi out today with my Mom's horse, Fireman. I
thought they would go good together because they both
have a fast walk. I put Andi in front, we rode side
by side, and I put him behind. He was his typical,
perfect Andi self no matter where he was. Andi is
definately my dream-come-true horse! Then, much to my
surprise on our way home, Mom said she thought she
could do a 25 mile ride! I didn't say anything at the
time, but later I asked her if she was serious about
doing some local LD endurance rides. She said yes,
although she may need her walker at the end of the
ride. I said her walker would fit in the truck! So I
will continue to ride Andi out alone most of the time,
and Mom and I will start to condition Fireman and
Whisper!

Speaking of Whisper; after I got home and got Andi up,
I took out Whisper as I was to meet with my neighbor,
Sharon, for a ride with just the two of us. We did
some trotting and Whisper was fine. She had to canter
a bit to keep up with Sharon's warmblood's trot, but
it was an easy canter and not an out of control
canter. So not only am I not going to give Whisper
any extra feed, I am going to keep my rides with just
one or two other horses for now. Whisper could be a
horse who gets too hyped up in a larger crowd.

So it seems I need a horse to ride in a group. Hmmmm,
that would be Raven!!! I just have to get her in
shape, so to help mom ride longer, she and I will go
out after Whisper and Fireman are done on Foxi and
Raven! We will start with them on short, 3 mile rides
and build up until Raven is in shape to ride with the
"Nag Hags" group! Sounds perfect! That puts me on 3
horses a day!
