Yes, we had had a snow fall when we put the posts in, but the ground wasn't frozen at that time. Since the posts were put in we've had a couple more snowfalls and the ground seems to be frozen now. We hired a fencing company to drill holes, then hubby put in the posts and filled all around them.....hopefully they'll not shift in the spring. V
