>> used to have quite an operatic career...can still sing

Very cool!!

>> Raven - how were your vocal cords damaged?

I have had thyroid problems for most of my life, seems to run in my
family. I used to have a benign tumor on my thyroid. Over the years
it slowly got huge, to the point where I started to have compression
problems. Dec 98' I had surgery to remove the growth, once in there
the surgeon decided to also do a total thyroidectomy. In the process
my vocal cords were damaged. After the surgery I could only squeak or
whisper for the first three months. When I try to sing now ..my voice
just sorta cracks or sqeaks. Like I'm running out of breath. Now,
don't get me wrong, my voice pre surgery was never on the professional
level, but I did at least sound okay. HA!

>>BTW...I loved the link to your albums of your family and grandpa.

Ah...thanks!

>> My other thought for a task to start this year was to start law
school and be an animal rights lawyer (NOT for the PETA types) to
prosecute animal cruelty and neglect cases
