Yes, very scary.

The reality is, at one time a lot of us believed that 'bad moment in
time' statement because we wanted to believe it.  I have every faith
that the majority of people interested in Icelandic horses have firmly
changed their minds - and now cringe when they see those pictures and
strive for better horsemanship in their own lives.

I've been very worried for a long time that an animal rights group
would take issue with the Icelandic show world.  An organization just
can't come back from something like that.  The stigma would be
horendous.

Like I said, that Cavello article has put the Icelandic show world on
the radar screen.  This will probably be the first of many unfavorable
articles.
