it was 11 degrees with the wind chill last nite and supposed to be even colder tonite. Of course a pipe froze and burst so now there is no water. The horses buckets froze over and had to be busted with a pitch fork and now I am at work praying they can do without water til my husband can get off at noon and go home to fix pipes. But they didnt thaw yesterday at all and probably wont today! I hate when the water levels get low in the buckets because stonewall and nasi both, in separate paddocks, will paw, step into, knock around water buckets that get low on water level, usually busting them. So I fully expect when my husband gets there at noon to have some spewing or if not we will have to get out a hair dryer or something and make sure the horses are watered. everything is frozen! I am just telling you guys this since so many people over the years have shared a concern over my arctic breed horses in tropical florida. right. I dont have to work tomorrow so maybe I cna get some pics of the icelandics covered in frost. Janice
