stjarni is barefoot this winter, and he's definitely finding ice more
slippery than he did last year with borium on his shoes.  he's a horse
who is always quite picky about what he'll do and what feels right to
him, and the contrasts between shod and unshod have been fascinating.
(in counterpoint, he's apparently more comfortable with mud barefoot
than shod either with or without the borium.)
