It is an elastic bandage (4") that we call a Promise wrap (it is the 'promise' of engagement). It is like using the back part of the bodywrap and gives horses a better propreoceptive sense - where they are in space. It is also good for horses that leave their back end behind, keeping them more connected, fear of narrow spaces and things from behind. We start with the horse just wearing it without a rider - with a bit of walk and trot so the horse can feel the movement; and then with a rider.
