> Nice to see someone else on here from the UK! - I enjoyed your clicker > video of Ofeig. Was she born here or did you import her?
Hi Mic, Janice Hutchinson bought her from Stutteri Sonne in Denmark but she turned out too small and somewhat petite for them as a broodmare. They couldn't face the prospect of breeding tiny horses they wouldn't be able to sit on to train. Janice thought her temperament was exceptionally calm. She is my first horse. I also have a 23yr old grey who is safe enough to ride out alone despite being blind in one eye. Ofeig has turned out to be a very willing horse and nothing scares her. She isn't bothered by low flying jets, chinooks or helicopters. I think she must have been very well handled as a foal. I looked at the stud website and was quite impressed with the way that children were playing with the horses. I feel I have been very lucky to get such a horse when I see the problems other people have. I won't be riding her for some time yet as we both have a long way to go. I'm also lucky to have entered the horse world when so many interesting things are happenning re training. Clicker training has been immense fun and very enlightenning. I have a huge library of books and DVDs already. I got the planning permission for a manege today. When the 'horse playground' is completed I will have safe footing to do all the grounwork any time of year. Wet paddocks with mole runs and rabbit holes definitely aren't. Sorry for such a long reply ut I am so excited for the coming year. Sue ,Lincolnshire UK
