DNA proves links to Exmoor ponies, the so-called "Celtic Horse" (ancestor of most northern pony breeds), the Shetland pony, the Dole horse and a few other N. European breed. Arabs????? No way.
Thanks, Mic. I thought I'd read that. I board at an Arab breding establishment and ride out with Arabs several times a week. Although I appreciate both breeds, I have never seen two equine species farther apart than an Arab and an Icelandic. Tosca and I accompanied a pretty little Arab mare out yesterday, the much younger Tosca acting as the calming influence. Nancy
