>>> I thought when I looked at her she had some setter in her but for sure
black lab, they are so dominant for black with a white spot it is for sure
some in there. Probably someone is looking for that cutie and you will find
out.

If her owners claim her (with a very good excuse why one so young might be
running free) I'll be happy to return her. It's not like I NEED five dogs.
But, honestly, I don't expect that anyone will claim her. I'm betting that
she and her mom (probably the dog I saw late yesterday) got dumped, and they
got separated. I wonder if she has siblings that will show up soon. She
was at the road, near my driveway. A kind passerby stopped to tell me that
"my" dog was in the road, so I had to do something.

She did something that seemed sort of odd, but touching. She found some of
Frank's toys in the house. The other dogs were in the fenced backyard while
I let her get used to the house with only Betty Sue inside. Anyways, she
was so darned proud of that toy, but she confused me by going to the front
door and whining seriously. She let me know that she HAD to go out. I let
her out just to see what was up. She took the toy with her, and went back
up under one of the shrubs and curled up to play with it. It was like she
was saying, "I live outside in the bushes, and I want to take this cool toy
home with me." I told her she doesn't have to live in the bushes anymore.
She's going to stay in the kennel in the backyard tonight, with Frank in
with her to share the doghouse. They both have thick fur, so they will be
toasty warm together. Frank is in love with her. He FINALLY has a little
friend who really and truly likes to play with him. The other dogs have
learned to accept him, and they play with him some, but the new girl REALLY
likes him a lot.

The good news is that she's not shy about saying she wants to go out...and
no accidents in the house so far. :)

"The greatest enemy of the truth very often is not the lie- deliberate,
contrived and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive and
unrealistic."

"All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer
