We're going to get a taste of pioneer living for a few days. A piece of heavy equipment damaged the bridge over the Applegate River where we live, adding 25 miles to a trip to town and effectively cutting us off from any efficient access to emergency services, the elementary school, the little market, the library, UPS truck, mail delivery, newspaper delivery. It will be interesting to see how all those things are handled. We are going appreciate that bridge when they open it back up!
