Boy I don't know. We've been riding on a lot of snow this month. If it's icey, the horses slide around. If it's soft, it collects in shod hooves and builds up until they're walking on snow stilts.
Saturday we started to drop down a steep trail that turned out to be covered with snow. It got a little kind of exciting for a few minutes. Hunter is a great downhill horse, but he got a little panicky for a bit. Me too. Nancy
