> P.S. How about the name "Sarge"? Sophie and Sarge -- isn't that cute? > : ) > > -- Renee M. in Michigan
Blink! Renee...you read my mind. That was the first name I thought of for him. Though it looks like he's going to be Toby (Tobias). Man...he's a nice boy. We just got in from giving him his before bed walk. AND Yes, Karen, he's that huge. Probably 40 lbs. He's 3 months, born in October, the owner was going to look up the exact date for me. (Sophie was born October 21st) His father looked in the car window at me and we drive a Ford Taurus. I'd say his father was at least 200 lbs. But then I'm bad at judging weights (especially my own) ;).... Funny thing, was when he looked in the window at me I had absolutely no reservations about getting out of the car. He just had a nice look to him. All the dogs there looked to be well cared for and were mannerly. One jumped up on me, but I didn't reward it with petting and the owner said 'down' immediately...and the dog was down on the ground looking guilty... I think we hit the jack pot with him. Yes, Karen, he reminded me of Maggie almost immediately... Such sweet eyes... I guess I'll have to forgive him the ride home he gave us. Needless to say it was lucky we took the wire kennel and we were lucky there was snow in the ditch to clean it off with, AND clean him with. I said to Kevin that if it had been me holding him for the way home...Kevin would have had to roll me in the snow to clean me off ;). I had thought of calling him the Icelandic word for Diarrhea (it's the most perfect word ... Dridla...not sure if that's the spelling but it's the phonetic way to say it).. Wanda
