he was actually ten times better than Nasi! Made me realize Nasi
needs work with being handled in the mouth. I told the dentist before
she started that he had issues with his nose/mouth and she was like
well, we'll try and if we have to sedate him we will. But she talked
to him and petted his forehead a lot, then did some advance retreat
with the mouth and we all like to fainted when he opened up to take
the speculum. last time I tried to put a bit on him he acted like he
just wasnt gonna allow it so I just didnt push it. But he opened up
for the speculum and didnt panic when she started cranking it open.
It was like, oh, the teeth thing, and was totally ok with it. But
DOnny held him for her, around the neck without touching his face and
she did not "grab" his face so that helped! She is a DVM and we
talked about his SE and vaccinations and she said hey, think about it,
no vaccinations could be an almost guarantee around here that he could
get west nile or incephalitis, she said SE is ugly, nasty, hard to
treat, but not lethal. She said it would be worth the risk as far as
she was concerned but suggested we do his shots one at a time instead
of combinations. So we gave him encephalitis, and then every two
weeks will do tetanus, flu, rhino and then west nile.
