If you think about it though, the yahoogroups system is sort of the ultimate freedom-of-speech network...BUT they have to be reasonable, to avoid pure chaos. Each list has an owner, and the owner makes the rules, and decides how strictly to keep his/her list on topic. The "freedom of speech" part comes in that anyone who disagrees with the rules can form his/her own group, and invite and accept whoever they please, with his/her own rules. So, no, freedom of speech doesn't apply to the lists individually, but overall, we have probably never had so many forums for free-speech as we do in this Internet age. :) Karen Thomas, NC
